I made my first headband the other day then another and another.  It took me a little while to get them to fit well, but once I did they were perfect!

With Christmas just over a week away and time flying by and so many things to do, I didn't have time to make my usual "Christmas" hats.  So the HOHOHO Headband was born.

I hope you all love it and make a whole bunch of them.

1 Skien Homespun yarn by Lion Brand (You will have some left over)

Row 1: Sc in 1st ch from hook and each across.  Ch 1, turn. (12)
Rows 2 - 58: Sc in 1st st and each st across.  Ch 1, turn. (12)

Note:  If you prefer not to count rows, measure head and repeat Row 2 until piece measures approximately 1 1/2 inches smaller than head measurement.

Fasten off after row 58 and weave in ends.

With white yarn or fun fur, sc across top and bottom of headband.

Fold headband in half length wise, right side facing each other and sew short ends together.   Fasten off leaving long tail for cinching middle of headband together.

With seam facing you, pinch middle together from top to bottom.  Sew with tapestry needle and yarn from fasten off point.

With black yarn Ch 4
Row 1: Sc in 1st and each ch across.  Ch 1, turn. (4)
Rows 2-15: Sc in 1st and each st across.  Ch 1, turn.  After row 15 fasten off leaving long tail for sewing band together.

Wrap black piece around cinched part of headband, making sure that seam will be at the back of the headband.  Using tapestry needle sew short ends of band together and weave in ends.
